We are back! Trade returns with the annual Health and Wellbeing Marquee at Leicester Pride, in partnership with Leicester Sexual Health, on Saturday 3rd September at Victoria Park, Leicester.
As usual, the team at Leicester Sexual Health will be offering free sexual health screenings for all, regardless of if you have tested before or if you live in the local area. Every year the clinic has run at Leicester Pride, over 50% of those tested state that this is the only opportunity they take to test throughout the year simply because the clinic is there. If you've been hesitant about testing or you are a regular with testing and staying on top of your sexual health, you are all welcome to test with us.
You have the choice of which tests you would like to have done. The tests on offer include testing for:
- chlamydia: urine sample (if you have a penis), swab sample (if you have a vagina), oral swab (if you give oral sex)
- gonorrhoea: urine sample (if you have a penis), swab sample (if you have a vagina), oral swab (if you give oral sex)
- syphilis: blood sample (taken from your arm)
- HIV: blood sample (taken from your arm)
- hepatitis B & C: blood sample (taken from your arm)
Not quite ready to test but want to find out more about your options? The Trade team will be on hand to answer any questions you have, from supporting you with ordering online test kits to accessing free condoms and lube and more. We are a friendly bunch and here for you.
Please note, we are still having to keep some social distancing and mask-wearing measures in place (masks will be provided on the day) so we kindly ask you to support keeping all staff and volunteers in the marquee safe by wearing your mask, in particular within the clinical area.
We are also proud to be able to host a number of our partners within the marquee again after an absence last year due to COVID restrictions:
