Other agencies (e.g. insurance companies)
Anyone can have a check-up.
It doesn't matter what your age is (unless attending a CHOICES clinic, which is only open to those aged 24 and under).
You don't need a letter from your doctor.
You can come by yourself or bring a friend or partner for support.

Waiting times can vary depending upon demand and you will be told how long the wait is upon arrival. It is suggested to go as early as possible at the start of drop-in clinic times and no later than 30 minutes before the end of the clinic.
If you are aged 24 and under, it is recommended to use the dedicated CHOICES clinics (see below).

SHACC (Sexual Health And Contraceptive Clinics) is an integrated, networked, NHS sexual health service in Leicester, which provides contraception and early pregnancy advice as well as investigation and treatment for sexually transmitted infections from GP practices.
Appointments take place at ordinary surgeries which will help to preserve your confidentiality. However, be aware that at some SHACC clinics notes of your visit or consultation may be added to your GP medical notes.
You do not need to be registered at a SHACC practice to get an appointment.
