Since May 2022, there have been more than 3,700 cases of Monkeypox in the UK, almost all of them amongst gay and bisexual men and the people who have sex with them.
The good news is that there is a vaccine that significantly reduces the risk of Monkeypox infection. Over the summer, the UK only had access to a limited supply of the vaccine and most doses were prioritized for London (where most cases have been). There are now more vaccine doses available and sexual health clinics across the East Midlands are offering vaccinations to those at highest risk from Monkeypox.
Trade Sexual Health are hosting an online Q&A session with an expert panel of doctors and LGBT+ community health promotion workers. Sign up for the event and get the answers you need to protect yourself against Monkeypox and to help you book a vaccination.
