This week, Trade will be exploring a number of different partnerships with have with various organisation and agencies across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The first of these we will explore is our partnership with Juniper Lodge.

What is Juniper Lodge?
Juniper Lodge is the local sexual assault referral centre. If you or someone you know has been raped or sexually assaulted, Juniper Lodge should be your first port of call.
They offer a whole host of discreet services provided by experienced professional, and is open to anyone aged 13 or over living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who has been raped or sexually assaulted either recently or at any time in the past, regardless of gender or gender identity.
The whole service is free and confidential and you do not have to commit to anything. You can visit us or make contact for advice only and there is no pressure to report to the Police, but the team are able to help you with this if you request it.
What do Trade currently do in partnership with Juniper Lodge?
Trade currently attend Response to Sexual Violence meetings every 3 months. The purpose of these meeting are to support the development and delivery of services in response to sexual violence/assault (immediate, recent and historical) for women, men, girls and boys, including trans and non-binary communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) with equality of access to the appropriate, quality assured services.
In the event of a serious sexual assault, these meetings would provide a stable, robust LLR partnership between the Voluntary and Public Sector agencies by providing a forum of practitioners to progress tasks identified by the Sexual Violence Delivery Group in relation to the LLR Sexual Violence Delivery Plan.
What have Trade historically done with Juniper Lodge?
Juniper Lodge have had a presence within the Trade Heath & Wellbeing Marquee at Leicester Pride over the past 2 years, ensuring that the LGB&T communities that we work with know about them.
Also, in partnership with First Step, Leicestershire Police & Leicester LGBT Centre, Trade helped develop a sexual and domestic violence campaign targeted towards men and boys.
