In the City Discussion evening - Celebrating National Volunteers' Week 1 - 7 June 2019

Tuesday, 28th May 2019

June will mark national Volunteers' Week from 1st to the 7th June 2019. It’s a chance to celebrate the hard work and dedication volunteers bring to organisations around the country.

As sexual health funding gets reduced year on year and infections are on the increase, dedicated community services are needed even more.  Trade Sexual health offers the Leicester, Leicestershire LGB&T communities services to help people feel good about them and take control of their health and sexual health.

Volunteers play a vital role in making sure we are able to carry on and this would not be possible without our team of dedicated and diverse volunteers who give their time, knowledge and energy in delivering services and projects.

Trade volunteers get involved in delivering a range of services which include counselling, HIV testing, health promotion in venues, marketing, being a member of the board of trustees, planning new services to name a few.

As part of volunteering week on Thursday 6th of June 5.30pm – 7pm Trade will focus our monthly In The City discussion session on volunteering.

We would like people to come along and take part in the discussion, meet current volunteers, find out about how people can get involved in volunteering and for Trade to say thank you to all our wonderful volunteers.
